What is Schedun?
An application for Windows that generates every possible timetable from Excel files exported from Neptun. It also includes a student and teacher search, as well as a course exchange marketplace.
Does the software access the Neptun account?
No, and it does not request credentials either. Schedun is not wired into the Neptun system: search and schedule planning work solely from Excel files exported by the user and placed in the appropriate folder. The one exception is the calendar feature, which downloads events from the schedule synchronization link the user pastes in — also the user's own choice, and requiring no login.
Which universities are supported?
Testing was carried out on the systems of BME, ELTE and ÓE. As Neptun is identical at other institutions, the software may work elsewhere as well, although minor differences may occur. In such cases, contacting the developers is recommended.
What is required to use it?
The application and the files exported from Neptun, which can be imported from Settings. The program stores files per semester, so old ones need not be deleted when a new semester begins; the remaining steps are described in the guide.
Is a mobile application available?
An iPhone version of the search is under development, and basic search already functions within it. Development of the Android version is not currently continuing, owing to the problems encountered.
Free version and license
What does the free version include?
Basic schedule planning: the selection of subjects and courses, and the generation of every clash-free timetable. Filters, optimization, search, favorites and the course exchange are not included.
What does the full version cost?
2,500 HUF excluding VAT per semester, which amounts to under 500 HUF per month. The license is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
How long is the license valid?
From the start of one exam period to the start of the next, irrespective of the date of purchase. The current date is published on GitHub.
Is the license tied to a single machine?
Yes. On activation the license key binds to the given machine and cannot subsequently be used on another device, so activation on the machine actually in use is recommended. In case of a hardware change, please contact the developers.
Are refunds available?
As this is a digital product, delivery of the license key commences performance immediately, and under the applicable legislation the right of withdrawal may no longer be exercised thereafter. The free version allows the software to be evaluated beforehand.

Finding shared classes
Following the selection of several individuals, the classes attended together would be displayed.
Personal events in the timetable
Taking weekly commitments — such as training or work — into account during timetable generation.
Acquaintances at other institutions
Displaying the schedules of acquaintances studying at other universities. The details of this feature have not yet been worked out; implementation depends on demand.
