This is a plain-language translation provided for convenience. The Hungarian version is the legally authoritative text; in case of any conflict or discrepancy, the Hungarian version governs.

This Privacy Policy sets out how Marketing Kalkulátor Kft. (the “Data Controller”) collects, uses and protects the personal data of users (the “User” or “Customer”) when purchasing and using the Schedun software.

The Data Controller is committed to protecting Users’ personal data and acts in accordance with applicable law — in particular the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) and Hungary’s national information self-determination act.

When purchasing and using the Schedun software, we process the following data:

a) Purchase and billing data

  • Data processed: First and last name, billing address (country, postal code, city, street, house number), email address, university.
  • Purpose: Processing the purchase transaction, delivering the license key, storing the data tied to the license key, and issuing the accounting document (invoice) required by law.
  • Legal basis: Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and compliance with a legal obligation (invoicing under Hungarian accounting and VAT law).

b) Payment and card data

IMPORTANT: The Data Controller never sees or stores card details (card number, expiry date, CVC). Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc., which holds international security certifications.

3. License verification and network communication

Schedun is a downloadable desktop application (.exe) that uses an internet connection to operate and to verify license validity.

  • How it works: During verification, the software sends the license key entered by the user and a device identifier to the Data Controller’s server to confirm activation.
  • Data security: The software does not collect, store, or transmit any other personal data, browsing history, statistics, or private files found on the User’s computer.

4. Data processors (who we share data with)

To process data and operate the service, the Data Controller uses the following third-party service providers (data processors):

  1. Stripe, Inc. (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.) — Global payment processing and card acceptance.
  2. KBOSS.hu Kft. (Számlázz.hu) — Issuing electronic invoices compliant with Hungarian law.
  3. Google LLC (Firebase / Firestore) — Secure cloud database storage for license key verification.
  4. Make.com (Celonis Inc.) — Secure automation bridge between Stripe and the invoicing/database systems.

5. Data retention period

  • Billing data and issued invoices must be retained for 8 years from issuance, as required by Hungarian accounting law.
  • The name, email, university and license key needed for license verification are stored for as long as the Schedun license is active, or until the User requests deletion.

6. User rights

Users have the following rights regarding their data:

  • Request information about the processing of their personal data (right of access).
  • Request correction or amendment of their data.
  • Request deletion of their data (except for billing data legally required to be retained).
  • Object to processing by contacting the Data Controller at the email address in Section 1.

Complaints may be filed with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) at www.naih.hu.
